The Infosys recruitment process for freshers has three stages for the Systems Engineer track, and a coding-assessment route for DSE and Specialist Programmer roles. End to end, expect 4–8 weeks from test to offer letter.
Stage 1 — Online assessment
For SE roles this is the aptitude-style test (pattern here): Reasoning, Quant, Verbal, Pseudocode and Puzzles, proctored online with sectional timers and cutoffs. For DSE/SP roles it is a 3-hour coding assessment — recent off-campus drives ran a virtual round followed by an in-person round at Infosys centres.
Stage 2 — Technical interview
A 30–45 minute discussion with an Infosys panelist covering programming fundamentals in your preferred language, OOP concepts, DBMS and SQL basics, data structures, and a deep-dive into your resume projects. Non-CS candidates get more aptitude/logic questions and fewer core-CS ones. Prepare with our Infosys interview questions.
Stage 3 — HR interview
Often merged with the technical round. Expect questions on relocation, shift flexibility, career goals, and standard behavioural scenarios. This round filters for communication and commitment — genuine, specific answers beat rehearsed ones.
After selection
- Offer & documents — offer letter by email; upload academic and ID documents for background verification.
- Training — freshers typically go through Infosys's foundation training program (the famous Mysuru campus) before project allocation; internal assessments during training must be cleared.
- Deployment — allocation to a development centre and project based on business demand.
Every stage is communicated only via the email you registered with and the Infosys careers portal — check both regularly, including spam.
