HCLTech TechBee is an "early career" programme that takes students straight after Class 12, trains them for 12 months, and then employs them full-time at HCLTech — one of India's largest IT services companies. You do not need an engineering degree to get in. Instead you clear an online aptitude test (HCL CAT), a spoken-English test (Versant) and an interview, pay a training fee (a bank loan is arranged), learn IT fundamentals in a classroom for six to nine months, intern on live projects with a stipend, and start earning a salary at 18 or 19 — while doing a degree from a partner university on the side.

Two tracks inside TechBee
- IT Services — software engineering, test engineering, design engineering, infrastructure management and service-desk support. Needs Mathematics or Business Mathematics in Class 12 with at least 60%. Higher fee, higher starting salary.
- Digital Process Support (earlier called Business Process Operations / Associates) — IT-enabled support and process roles. Open to all streams; lower fee and a slightly lower starting salary.
How it differs from the HCLTech graduate route
HCLTech's main fresher hiring — the Graduate Engineer Trainee test — is for engineering graduates and starts at a higher package. TechBee trades a lower starting salary for a three-to-four-year head start: by the time your school friends finish B.Tech, you have three years of work experience, a degree in progress and no college fee debt beyond the TechBee loan. Whether that trade is right for you depends on your family's finances and how motivated you are to study while working — see training & fees and salary.
This site's practice sets for TechBee are separate from the HCLTech GET aptitude questions — you can attempt both without repeats.
