TCS BSc Ignite is Tata Consultancy Services' dedicated hiring drive for science graduates — BCA, B.Sc and B.Voc students who are not eligible for the engineering-only tracks. Clear one in-centre aptitude test and an interview, and you join the TCS Ignite "Science to Software" programme: paid, mentored training that turns a science degree into a software career inside TCS.

How Ignite differs from TCS NQT
TCS NQT is the engineering / MCA / M.Sc route with a 190-minute paper and three salary tiers. Ignite is shorter (120 minutes), has no Advanced section, makes coding optional, and leads to a single trainee track. The Foundation-level topics overlap almost completely, so NQT numerical, verbal and reasoning practice is directly useful — we have kept a separate, non-overlapping set of practice questions here so you can attempt both.
Why students choose it
- It is one of very few mass-hiring drives in India built specifically for BCA / B.Sc graduates.
- The Ignite programme includes structured technical training and credits towards a postgraduate degree through TCS's university partnerships.
- The same TCS NextStep profile also serves TCS CodeVita, which science students can enter for a shot at the higher Digital / Prime tracks.
