Registration is only through the TCS NextStep portal — no college tie-up is needed, and there is no fee. The 2026 window closed on 22 July 2026; the steps stay the same every cycle.
Step-by-step on TCS NextStep
- Go to nextstep.tcs.com and click Register Now. Choose the "IT" category (not BPS).
- Fill in personal details, then academic details for Class 10, Class 12 and graduation — semester-wise marks, exactly as on your marksheets. A Reference ID (CT/DT number) is generated; save it.
- Upload a passport-size photo and a scanned signature in the specified sizes.
- Log in, open Campus Commune → Apply For Drive, select the TCS BSc Ignite Hiring drive and submit the application form.
- Choose your preferred test city. Hall tickets with the allotted TCS iON centre are released about a week before the test.
- Track status under "Track My Application" — every stage (test, interview, offer) is updated there and mailed to you.
Documents to keep ready
- Class 10 and 12 marksheets; all semester marksheets or consolidated graduation marksheet.
- Government photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / passport / voter ID).
- Gap or backlog explanation letters, if applicable.
- A personal email ID and mobile number you will still have after graduation.
