The Infosys online test is the entry exam conducted by Infosys — India's second-largest IT services company — to hire fresh graduates at scale. Infosys announced hiring of 20,000+ freshers in its FY26 cycle, making it one of the biggest fresher recruiters in India alongside TCS. One assessment pipeline feeds three fresher career tracks: Systems Engineer (SE), Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) and Specialist Programmer (SP) — and the track you land decides your starting salary, from about ₹3.6 LPA all the way to ₹21 LPA.

What makes the Infosys test different
Unlike most service-company exams, Infosys gives real weight to two unusual sections: Pseudocode (predict the output of short C-style programs) and Puzzle Solving (numerical pattern puzzles). Its Logical Reasoning section is also famous for cryptarithmetic problems — letter-arithmetic puzzles that almost no other company asks. If you prepare only generic aptitude material, these three areas are where you will lose the shortlist.
Why the Infosys exam matters
Infosys hires across every engineering branch, runs multiple off-campus windows a year, and its DSE/SP tracks pay some of the highest fresher packages among Indian IT services companies. The same preparation also transfers directly to TCS NQT, Wipro and Cognizant exams — see our TCS NQT placement papers to compare patterns.
