Verbal Ability is the biggest section by question count — 20 questions in 20 minutes. It tests everyday professional English: grammar rules, vocabulary in context, sentence structure and comprehension. The difficulty is the lowest in the paper, which means the cutoff here is effectively the highest — careless mistakes are what sink candidates.

Recent Infosys drives also include a separate email/essay writing task. Practice a clean 5-sentence structure: greeting → context → main point → action requested → sign-off. Grammar errors cost more than simple vocabulary.
