A CodeVita interview is a single panel that covers technical, managerial and HR ground in one sitting of 30–45 minutes. It opens with your contest solutions — the one topic where you are the expert — and then checks fundamentals. Click a question for a model answer.
How the round is scored
- Depth on your own solutions — can you explain the complexity, the edge case you missed, and an alternative approach?
- Fundamentals — OOP pillars, DBMS normalisation and SQL, process vs thread, basic data structures. Prime-track panels go deeper into design and trade-offs.
- Paper coding — pattern printing, string reversal without built-ins, duplicate detection. Write clean, compilable code.
- Fit — relocation, shifts, and a specific reason for TCS. Hesitation here is the most common reason a Digital call does not become a Digital offer.
The broader TCS interview bank — 10 more questions with answers — is on the TCS NQT interview questions page; the panels draw from the same pool.
