CodeVita has no salary of its own — it is a doorway into the same three fresher tracks that TCS hires for through NQT. What changes is the odds: a CodeVita rank is the most reliable way a fresher can reach the Prime and Digital tiers.
Fresher tracks you can be offered
| Track | Reported CTC (2025–26 offers) | Who typically gets it via CodeVita |
|---|---|---|
| TCS Prime | ₹9 – ₹12 LPA | Round 2 top rankers with a strong interview |
| TCS Digital | ₹7 – ₹8 LPA | Round 2 qualifiers; Prime candidates downgraded after interview |
| TCS Ninja | ₹3.36 – ₹3.6 LPA | Round 1 solvers below the Round 2 cut |
These bands are compiled from public offer-letter discussions for the 2024–26 batches; TCS does not publish them, and exact figures vary by location and skill unit. The detailed component-wise breakdown (basic, allowances, variable, in-hand) is on the TCS NQT salary page and applies identically to CodeVita hires.
Prizes and internships
- Top 3 worldwide: USD 10,000 / 7,000 / 3,000.
- Finalists: paid travel to India and an internship invitation with TCS Research & Innovation — internships are stipended, and finalists have reported pre-placement offers.
- Everyone else: no cash, but interview calls arrive months before regular campus drives — a time advantage that is worth more than it sounds.
Prime vs Digital — is the interview worth the risk?
Yes. Candidates who interview for Prime and fall short are usually offered Digital, not rejected. Prepare for the higher tier: it includes deeper questions on data structures, system fundamentals and your project, but the downside is capped.
