TCS NQT feeds three fresher career tracks, and your test plus interview performance decides which offer you get. The packages below are from the most recent all-India NQT cycle.
Salary by hiring category
| Category | UG (B.E/B.Tech) | PG (M.E/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc) |
|---|---|---|
| Ninja | ~₹3.4 LPA | ~₹3.6 LPA |
| Digital | ₹7.09 – 7.72 LPA | ₹7.39 – 8.04 LPA |
| Prime | ₹9.09 – 9.66 LPA | ₹11.59 – 12.26 LPA |
Within Digital and Prime, the exact figure varies slightly with prior work experience (0–1 vs 1–2 years). All figures are gross annual CTC and include statutory components; in-hand salary is lower after PF, gratuity and insurance deductions.
What decides your category
- Ninja — clearing the Foundation section and the standard interview.
- Digital — strong Advanced section performance (especially coding) plus a tougher technical interview.
- Prime — top-tier performance across the entire test and an in-depth interview; typically both coding problems fully solved.
Growth after joining
Ninja joiners are not locked in: TCS runs internal assessments (like Elevate) through which Ninja hires can move to Digital-level pay within the first years. Combined with annual hikes and promotion cycles, the NQT category sets your starting point, not your ceiling.
Packages can vary by drive and year. Always confirm the figures in your official offer letter — not third-party sites — before making decisions.
