TCS applies its eligibility rules strictly — candidates are checked at the application stage, again before the interview, and once more during document verification. Make sure you satisfy every criterion below before applying.
Academic criteria
- Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech / MCA / M.Sc (any specialization) from a recognized university — full-time courses only.
- Minimum marks: 60% or 6 CGPA aggregate in each of Class 10, Class 12, Diploma (if applicable), graduation and post-graduation.
- Backlogs: No pending/active backlogs at the time of appearing for the test or interview.
- Education gap: Overall academic gap must not exceed 24 months, with valid reasons documented.
- Course completion: Degree must be completed within the stipulated course duration (no extended education).
Other criteria
- Age: 18 to 28 years at the time of application.
- Batches: Recent and graduating batches are eligible (the 2026 cycle covered the 2024, 2025 and 2026 batches).
- Work experience: Freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience can apply.
- Nationality: Indian citizens; valid ID proof required at the test centre.
Percentage calculation follows your university's official conversion rule. If your institute defines a CGPA-to-percentage formula, TCS uses that; otherwise standard conversion applies. Keep the conversion certificate handy for verification.
