The Foundation section is the compulsory first part of TCS NQT, attempted by every candidate. It tests the three core employability skills — numbers, language and logic — in 75 minutes. Clearing the Foundation section qualifies you for the Ninja interview shortlist.

Questions are a mix of MCQ and fill-in-the-answer types. There is no negative marking, and each sub-section has its own timer — you cannot borrow time from one section for another, so pace yourself at roughly a minute per question.
