The Advanced section is the second part of TCS NQT and the gateway to the higher-paying Digital and Prime profiles. While the Foundation part screens everyone, the Advanced part is where packages of ₹7–11.5 LPA are decided.

How it differs from the Foundation part
Advanced aptitude questions need multi-step working — quadratic equations, probability of combined events, data sufficiency and decision-making case lets — rather than single-formula application. The coding part expects working programs that pass hidden test cases, not pseudo-code. You can code in C, C++, Java, Python or Perl.
Who should attempt it
Everyone appearing for TCS NQT should attempt the Advanced section — there is no penalty, and a good score upgrades your interview track from Ninja to Digital or Prime automatically. Prepare for each part on its dedicated page: Advanced Quantitative Ability, Advanced Reasoning Ability and Advanced Coding.
Cut-offs are not published by TCS, but candidates shortlisted for Prime interviews typically solve both coding problems completely and score high across all Foundation sections as well.
