Step-by-step application process
- Create your profile — on Superset (campus) or the Cognizant careers portal (off-campus) with a personal email you check daily, and verify it.
- Fill in academic details accurately — Class 10, Class 12 and semester-wise graduation marks exactly as printed on your marksheets; they are verified during onboarding against the 60%/6 CGPA bar.
- Choose your skill cluster deliberately — Cluster 1 (Java, SQL, Web UI) or Cluster 2 (Python, SQL, Cloud). Your technical assessment and interview follow this choice, and it is hard to change later.
- Apply to the GenC drive for your batch — creating a profile alone does not register you for the test.
- Watch for the assessment invite — the test link and slot details arrive by email a few days before the window opens.
- Take the assessment — quiet room, stable internet, working webcam and headset (the communication round records your voice); keep your ID card handy for proctoring checks.
- Track your status — interview shortlists arrive within days to a few weeks; interviews may be virtual or at a Cognizant campus.
