Why aptitude still matters for Turbo
Turbo shortlists are built on the coding section, but the aptitude sections are the first filter — an unbalanced score (strong coding, weak verbal) is a common reason for strong programmers to miss the cut. Candidates who cleared recent Wipro drives are consistent on this point: treat aptitude and communication as elimination gates, not warm-ups.
One-minute-per-question habits
- LCM / HCF questions dressed up as circular tracks, bells or traffic lights: find the LCM first, then count events.
- "Find the wrong number" series: test squares/cubes ± 1, then alternating operations, before anything exotic.
- Ratio-and-ages: write the present ages as multiples of x and convert the past or future condition into one linear equation.
- Verbal grammar: with a past reporting verb, shift tense one step back and fix pronouns before reading the options.
- No negative marking is reported — never leave a blank; guess in the last ten seconds of a section.
