The Wipro recruitment process for freshers has three elimination stages: the online assessment, a technical interview and an HR interview. End to end, expect 3–8 weeks from test to offer letter.
Stage 1 — Online assessment (~128 minutes)
The Elite NTH test (pattern here): aptitude with sectional timers and cutoffs, the WriteX essay, and two coding problems. It is proctored — stable internet, webcam on, no tab switching. High scorers may additionally be invited to the Turbo upgrade test for the higher package.
Stage 2 — Technical interview (20–40 minutes)
A discussion with a Wipro panelist covering programming fundamentals in your preferred language, OOP concepts with real-world examples, SQL and DBMS basics (joins and normalization are favourites), simple data structures, and a deep dive into your resume projects — the one topic interviewers cannot predict from a syllabus. Non-CS candidates get more aptitude/logic questions and branch fundamentals. Prepare with our Wipro interview questions.
Stage 3 — HR interview (10–20 minutes)
Communication, flexibility and fit: relocation, shift willingness, career plans, and the Spirit of Wipro values. Document verification usually starts here — keep marksheets and ID ready.
After selection
- Offer & documents — offer letter by email; upload academics and ID for background verification. Recent cycles include a ~12-month service agreement.
- Training — structured fresher training (project readiness program) before deployment; internal assessments during training must be cleared.
- Deployment — allocation to a development centre and project based on business demand.
All communication comes via the email you registered with and the Wipro careers portal — check both regularly, including spam. Wipro never asks for payment at any stage.
