The Accenture exam pattern has three online rounds followed by interviews: a combined Cognitive & Technical Assessment (90 questions, 90 minutes), a Coding Assessment (2 problems, 45 minutes) and an AI-scored Communication Assessment. There is no negative marking anywhere.

Round 1 — Cognitive & Technical Assessment (90 questions, 90 minutes)
The cognitive half (50 questions) covers English ability (synonyms, error spotting, RC, para jumbles), critical reasoning (arrangements, flowcharts, data sufficiency, syllogisms) and numerical/abstract reasoning (series, analogies, coding-decoding). The technical half (40 questions) covers pseudocode (highest weightage — about 18 questions), MS Office & common applications (about 12) and networking, security & cloud (about 10). One shared timer covers all 90 questions — a minute per question.
Round 2 — Coding Assessment (2 problems, 45 minutes)
Two problems (occasionally three) in C, C++, Java, Python or .NET — typically implementation-style: array traversal with conditions, string validation, math on ranges. Your code must pass hidden test cases, and your score here largely decides ASE vs Advanced ASE. Practice on the coding questions page.
Round 3 — Communication Assessment (~30 minutes)
An AI-graded spoken-English test: reading sentences aloud, repeating audio, answering spoken questions, unscrambling sentences, retelling a story and speaking on a topic. No human is involved — details and section-wise tactics on the communication assessment page.
Section-wise difficulty
- English & numerical — easy to moderate; standard topics, strict overall timer.
- Critical reasoning — moderate; scenario-based logic questions are Accenture's signature style.
- Technical MCQs — easy if prepared, unfamiliar if not; pseudocode dominates.
- Coding — easy to moderate; the main package differentiator.
- Communication — easy content, but fluency must be practiced out loud.
