The Tech Mahindra exam pattern for freshers runs as three online elimination rounds (about 155 minutes in total), followed by technical and HR interviews. The online rounds are remotely proctored — a working webcam, microphone and a stable connection are mandatory.

Rules that decide strategy
- Negative marking: confirmed in recent (2024–25) drives for the MCQ sections — the exact penalty is announced at test start. Do not blind-guess.
- No backward navigation: you cannot return to a previous question or section, and submitted answers cannot be changed. Decide once, decide fast.
- Sectional timers: each section has its own clock — unused minutes do not carry forward.
- Elimination at every stage: aptitude, technical and the communication assessment are all elimination rounds; the psychometric test is evaluated for fit rather than a cutoff score.
After the online test
Shortlisted candidates face a technical interview (15–45 minutes) and an HR interview (15–30 minutes). Top performers in the coding sections may be invited to the SuperCoder challenge — 2 problems in 90 minutes — which upgrades the package to ~₹5.5 LPA.
