The WILP online assessment has no coding section. Code enters the process at the business discussion, where panels ask BCA / B.Sc candidates to write a short program on paper or over screen-share — leap year, reverse a number or string, Fibonacci, prime check, second largest in an array — and a handful of C / C++ / Java fundamentals. Below: three programming MCQs of the kind asked, and two of the easy programs that appear repeatedly in Wipro coding rounds and interviews, solved in four languages.
Programming fundamentals MCQs
Which of the following is NOT a logical operator in C, C++ or Java?
How many address (pointer) fields does each node of a singly circular linked list have?
Glass-box testing is another name for which type of software testing?
Programs asked in Wipro rounds
Read one line of text and print it reversed, character by character, without using any library reverse function. Spaces and digits are ordinary characters and must be reversed along with the letters.
Input: wipro
Output: orpiw
Input: WILP 2026
Output: 6202 PLIW
The space moves too — it is just another character.
- 1 ≤ length ≤ 10⁵
- The line contains printable ASCII characters only.
The first line contains an integer N. The second line contains N space-separated integers. Print the second largest distinct value in the array. If every element is the same (so no second largest exists), print -1.
Input: 5 12 35 1 10 34
Output: 34
Input: 4 7 7 7 7
Output: -1
All values are equal, so there is no second largest.
- 1 ≤ N ≤ 10⁵
- −10⁹ ≤ each element ≤ 10⁹
Programs to have ready
Reverse a string (done above) · reverse a number and check palindrome · factorial (loop and recursion) · Fibonacci to N terms · prime check · Armstrong number · GCD by Euclid's method · swap without a third variable · leap year · sum of digits · count vowels · second largest (done above) · missing number in 1..N · simple patterns (right triangle, pyramid). Each has been reported in a Wipro written test or interview; the Elite NTH coding questions page has the harder online-test problems (Sock Merchant, Counting Valleys, Backspace String Compare) for candidates who also sit that exam.
Write in the one language you named on your Superset form — the interviewer will ask you to code in it. Keep programs reading from standard input and printing exactly the answer, no prompts.
