WILP selection has seven stages from registration to offer letter, and from the 2025 and 2026 cycles a predictable rhythm: assessment within a few weeks of the deadline, voice test soon after, business discussion within a month, and a Letter of Intent before the pre-skilling batch starts.
Stages
| Stage | What happens | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Registration | Profile and application on Superset | Window of 2–8 weeks |
| 2. Online assessment | 80 min — Verbal, Analytical, Quantitative + written communication; see exam pattern | 1–3 weeks after the deadline |
| 3. Voice assessment | 20-minute automated spoken-English test | Within 1–2 weeks of the assessment result |
| 4. Business discussion | 20–30 minute video interview — technical basics, project, WILP intent, HR | 2–4 weeks later |
| 5. Letter of Intent | Conditional selection; document upload and verification | 1–3 weeks after the discussion |
| 6. Pre-skilling training | Online foundation training in programming and tools before joining | Several weeks, batch-wise |
| 7. Offer letter & joining | Offer as Scholar Trainee, service agreement, joining at an allotted Wipro location; M.Tech enrolment follows | Batch-wise through the year |
What candidates report about the business discussion
One panel — usually a delivery manager and an HR — for 20–30 minutes on video. The flow is consistent: self-introduction; why WILP and whether you understand the four-year study load and 60-month agreement; a small program (leap year, reverse a number, Fibonacci); two or three fundamentals from C, Java or OOP; a DBMS or SQL question; your final-year project; then relocation, shifts and strengths / weaknesses. Model answers are on the interview questions page.
Where candidates drop out
- The assessment — sectional cut-offs, and essays under 200 words or with more than five errors.
- The voice test — poor audio or long pauses, not vocabulary. Test your headset.
- The business discussion — vague answers on why M.Tech-while-working, or unwillingness to relocate.
- Document verification — marks or gap details that do not match the form.
Every stage is elimination-based and communication comes by email and the Superset dashboard; candidates from the 2026 cycle report waits of several weeks between stages, so keep other applications alive. Compare with the Elite NTH recruitment process, which adds a coding round.
