The WILP online assessment is an 80-minute, proctored, online test taken from home: three aptitude sections of 20 questions each with their own 20-minute timers, followed by a 20-minute written communication (essay) section. There is no coding section — this is the main way the test differs from Wipro Elite NTH.
Section-wise pattern
| Section | Questions | Time | What it tests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Verbal Ability | 20 | 20 min | Grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, reading comprehension |
| Analytical (Logical) Ability | 20 | 20 min | Series, coding-decoding, syllogisms, arrangements, data sufficiency |
| Quantitative Ability | 20 | 20 min | Arithmetic — percentages, ratio, interest, time-work, averages |
| Written Communication | 1 essay | 20 min | 200–400 word essay on a given topic, machine-scored |
| Total | 60 MCQs + 1 essay | 80 min | Followed by a 20-minute voice assessment |
Round 2 — voice assessment (20 minutes)
Cleared candidates get a link to a 20-minute automated spoken-English test: read sentences aloud, listen and repeat, answer short questions, and speak for 45–60 seconds on a prompt. It scores pronunciation, fluency and clarity, not accent. Use a wired headset in a quiet room.
Rules that shape your strategy
- One minute per question. 20 questions in 20 minutes leaves no slack. Two passes per section: sure-shot questions first, then the rest.
- Sectional timers, no going back. When a section closes, it is gone. Do not carry an unsolved series into the quantitative section in your head.
- Marking is not published. Wipro does not state a negative-marking rule for WILP; candidates consistently report none. Attempt every question, guessing whatever is left in the final 30 seconds.
- Sectional cut-offs are reported. A strong verbal score does not rescue a weak quantitative one. Aim for at least 12–13 correct in each MCQ section.
- The essay is machine-scored. The written communication test is Wipro's WriteX-style system: 200–400 words, fewer than five spelling or grammar errors, clear paragraphs. Our Wipro essay-writing guide covers it in detail.
- Proctoring. Webcam and microphone stay on; leaving the frame, a second face or tab-switching can void the attempt.
Difficulty
Easy-to-moderate — the same question bank as the Elite NTH aptitude sections, with Class 10 arithmetic, standard reasoning families and school-level grammar. Candidates fail on time, not on concepts. Practise with the aptitude, reasoning and verbal sets here, then time yourself on the Elite NTH pattern — it is the same sections with 60 questions.
